Sizing & Fit
Find your perfect fit.
Luxury hair is only “undetectable” when the cap fits correctly. This guide helps you measure once, choose confidently, and avoid the most common sizing mistakes.
Measure Your Head (2 minutes)
You’ll need a soft measuring tape (or a string + ruler). Measure snug—not tight.
A. Circumference (most important)
Wrap around your hairline: start at the front hairline, go behind the ears, around the nape, and back to the front.
B. Front to Nape
From your front hairline straight back over the top of your head to the nape.
C. Ear to Ear (over top)
From the top of one ear across the crown to the top of the other ear.
D. Temple to Temple (around back)
From one temple around the back of your head to the other temple.
E. Nape of Neck
Measure across the nape from one side to the other.
Pro tip: If you’re between sizes, choose the size that matches your circumference first.
Size Chart
Use this as your baseline. Fit preference and hair density can shift how snug you want it.
Petite: 20–21.5"
Average: 21.5–22.5"
Large: 22.5–24"
If you’re exactly on the line:
-
Prefer snug + secure → size down
-
Prefer comfort + room → size up
What “Perfect Fit” Feels Like
A great fit should feel:
-
Secure when you gently shake your head
-
Flat at the crown (no bubbling)
-
Comfortable at the temples and nape (no pressure points)
-
Natural hairline placement without stretching the lace
If you feel temple pressure or headaches, you’re likely too small or adjusting too tightly.
If you feel sliding or “helmet-y,” you’re likely too large or not adjusted correctly.
Adjustable Features (What They Do)
Adjustable straps: fine-tune snugness at the nape
Elastic band: improves grip and reduces shifting
Combs/clips (if included): extra security—optional depending on your comfort
Lace area: should lay flat, never feel stretched
Your Natural Hair Matters (and We’ll Help)
Your hair underneath changes fit. Common scenarios:
Low-profile (braids/flat wrap): most consistent sizing
Thick natural hair / high bun: may require more room or a different prep method
Very fine hair: may prefer a snugger fit or a grip band for security
Rule of thumb: The flatter your base, the more “melted” and natural the result.
Most Common Fit Problems (Quick Fixes)
“My wig slides back.”
→ Tighten straps slightly, add a grip band, or prep hair flatter at the crown.
“The cap feels tight at my temples.”
→ Loosen straps, reposition slightly back, or consider sizing up.
“The crown looks puffy.”
→ You may be in a size too large or the hair underneath is creating volume.
“The nape lifts.”
→ Strap adjustment + flatter nape prep usually solves this.
“The lace looks tense or distorted.”
→ Cap may be too small, or the wig is being pulled too far forward.
Between Sizes? Choose Your Fit Preference
Choose smaller if you want:
-
Snug feel
-
Maximum security
-
Minimal movement
Choose larger if you want:
-
More comfort
-
More room for hair underneath
-
Less pressure at temples
