Install & Wear

Made to look natural. Designed to feel easy.

A great wig doesn’t just look good—it should feel intuitive to wear. This guide covers how to prep, install, and comfortably wear your wig so it looks effortless from the first moment on.

Before You Install: Prep Is Everything

A clean, flat base makes the biggest difference in how natural your wig looks.

Start with:

  • Clean, dry hair

  • A flat style (braids, wrap, or low-profile base)

  • Hairline free of oils or heavy products

Why it matters:
The flatter your base, the better the lace melts and the more secure the fit feels—without over-tightening.

First Try-On (No Adhesive Needed)

Before installing, always do a dry fit.

What to check:

  • Hairline placement feels natural (not pulled too far forward)

  • Ear tabs sit evenly on both sides

  • Cap feels secure but not tight

  • Crown lays flat with no bubbling

Adjust straps or bands before considering adhesive.

Cutting the Lace

  • Place the wig along your natural hairline

  • Using small scissors, trim the lace carefully

  • Cut slowly and conservatively — you can always trim more

  • A slightly uneven cut helps the lace blend more naturally

Stylist tip: Small, irregular cuts create a softer, more realistic hairline than cutting straight across.

Install Options (Choose Your Comfort Level)

No Adhesive (Most Common)

  • Adjustable straps + elastic band

  • Optional grip band

  • Fast, comfortable, and low-maintenance

Best for: daily wear, beginners, sensitive skin

Light Hold (Optional)

  • Wig tape or minimal adhesive at the hairline

  • Extra security for long days or styling back

Best for: events, extended wear, or active days

You never need heavy glue for a proper-fitting luxury wig.

Hairline Melt (Less Is More)

A natural melt doesn’t require layers of product.

For best results:

  • Use minimal foundation or tint (only if needed)

  • Light pressure with a wrap or band for a few minutes

  • Avoid over-plucking or cutting lace too aggressively

The goal is undetectable, not overworked.

Styling After Install

Once installed, treat your wig like real hair.

You can:

  • Part it naturally within the lace area

  • Use low to moderate heat

  • Style it down, tucked, or softly pulled back (depending on lace coverage)

Avoid:

  • Excessive heat at the lace

  • Heavy products near the hairline

  • Tight styles that pull on the lace

Wearing Comfortably All Day

A properly fitted wig should feel:

  • Secure without pressure

  • Breathable at the crown

  • Comfortable at the nape and temples

If you feel tension or headaches, loosen straps slightly or reassess sizing.

Luxury wigs should disappear once they’re on.

How Long Can I Wear It?

This depends on your install method and comfort.

  • No adhesive: remove daily or nightly

  • Light hold: remove within a few days

  • Always remove if you feel discomfort or tightness

Your scalp health comes first.

Removal (Be Gentle)

Never pull or rush removal.

If using adhesive:

  • Use a proper remover or warm water

  • Gently lift lace from the edges

  • Clean lace before storing

Taking your time preserves the lace and hairline.
